Origin: Guatemala

Grown in the remote highlands of Huehuetenango, these coffees benefit from towering elevations, limestone-rich soils, and cool mountain air that nurture sweetness and complexity. The region’s rugged landscape and distinct microclimates create slow, even ripening, which enhances clarity and a dense flavor structure. This intersection of altitude, soil, and tradition produces a cup that captures Guatemala’s most prized terroir.
  • Altitude 1,400 to 1,750 meters
  • Region San Marcos, Fraijanes, Santa Rosa Nuevo Oriente
  • Farm Finca La Joya Grande, Finca Santa Rita, Finca Armenia Lorena

Sourcing

Sourced through Onyx Coffee’s deep relationships across Guatemala, ELLA embodies a transparent and values-driven approach to trade built over nearly 20 years. Edwin Martinez and his team personally select each lot, ensuring exceptional quality and a genuine connection to the origin. This collaboration highlights and uplifts the women producers whose dedication shapes every cup.

Roasting

Roasted to a medium level to emphasize structure and sweetness, this coffee showcases tasting notes of cashew, cherry, chamomile, and Meyer lemon. A juicy body and gentle floral acidity make it ideal for filter brews—elevated and expressive without being fussy.

The GBB Guarantee

We pride ourselves in sourcing the highest quality coffee beans and building direct relationships with farmers and producers.

To maximize freshness, store coffee in an opaque, airtight container in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid storing coffee in the refrigerator or freezer due to moisture and odor absorption, which can negatively impact flavor.
