Sourcing

This coffee is cultivated on an expansive farm that balances 890 acres of coffee with over 800 acres of protected forest, fostering a rich and unique growing environment. The farm’s location beside Parque Nacional La Amistad, one of the largest protected reserves in the region, enhances the coffee’s distinctive terroir. With a longstanding commitment to sustainability, Rio Negro was the first farm in Costa Rica to earn Rainforest Alliance certification and uses innovative, water-saving processing methods to ensure environmentally responsible sourcing.

Roasting

Roasted to a medium level to emphasize structure and sweetness, this coffee showcases tasting notes of cashew, cherry, chamomile, and Meyer lemon. A juicy body and gentle floral acidity make it ideal for filter brews—elevated and expressive without being fussy.

The GBB Guarantee

We pride ourselves in sourcing the highest quality coffee beans and building direct relationships with farmers and producers.

To maximize freshness, store coffee in an opaque, airtight container in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid storing coffee in the refrigerator or freezer due to moisture and odor absorption, which can negatively impact flavor.
